Silent Auction & Memorabilia Sale

Following the successful MVRC Artwork Silent Auction which concluded on William Reid Stakes Day in March, we would like to share with you next phase of MVRC artwork and memorabilia for sale, as we prepare for the racecourse closure in November.

We are excited to offer loyal members and patrons the rare opportunity to own a piece of The Valley’s heritage. This next phase includes unsold pieces during the first auction, new pieces of artwork currently displayed in the Grandstand, and also select memorabilia from the MVRC coffers.

We will be utilising a safe and secure platform and payment gateway called GalaBid to administrate both the Silent Auction for the artwork – again offering framed reproductions, along with a limited number of original engravings, lithographs, and prints, and a BuyNow feature for memorabilia including furniture.

Please note:

The majority of artwork are reproductions of original prints, if not stated otherwise. All artwork has been displayed at MVRC at various times and is therefore subject to slight scratches and imperfections and must be considered as second-hand/ used. Inspections of the items is not possible due to scale, so purchases must be made by reviewing the photographs supplied on the GalaBid platform. MVRC is acting in good faith to share as much detail as possible for the purchaser to make an informed decision.
Collection details are published both here on the MVRC website and also on your invoice. Purchasers will need to collect paid items from MVRC in Moonee Ponds, no postage will be organised. We request you bring either a hardcopy or electronic copy of your paid invoice/ receipt, and organise a suitable vehicle and equipment to collect items if they are large/heavy

The central point for collection is the MVRC Customer Service office, located on the ground floor
Items are individually marked as either
- Pick Up Pre Cox Plate: collection anytime until 28 August 2025
  - Strictly on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday between the hours of 9am and 4pm
  - No collection on race days Pick Up Post Cox Plate: collection post 2025 Cox Plate (on specific days and times to be advised)
Purchasers will need to
- Collect paid items from MVRC in Moonee Ponds, no postage will be organised
- Have a hardcopy or electronic copy of paid receipt
- Bring suitable vehicle and equipment is items are large/heavy
